I am not so active lately... because I have some jobs to do and my right shoulder was hurt and stiff for almost 3 weeks. It make me really moody to draw, it's not really good start for 2010... ^^"
Fortunately my shoulder had healed now, I'll try to more active here
done in photoshop 7.0 critique and comment always welcome
The first thing I thought when I saw this again was "how hadn't I commented on this already? Shame on me!"
I saw this pop up in my random favorites on my userpage and curiously clicked to remind myself of what it was, and gosh, I was absolutely baffled, dazzled and amazed.
The colors here are absolutely gorgeous. Very beautiful and calm, divine, and soothing like the setting. The lighting, needless to say, is just as impacting. Dazzling! Beautiful.
The characters in this piece are just charming. Those rabbits are adorable, and the fox-looking creatures on the mushrooms on one side of the pond there look like graceful, beautiful animals. Not to mention that giant purple thing looks like such fun; its expression is excellent!
Magic emanates from this gorgeous piece. Forgive my overuse of complimenting words! But this piece has left me awestruck. The magic, the beauty, and the charm are three things this piece definitely has, and they are expertly combined to create something I'd love to know the story behind.
Darkmello has been one of my favourite artists since i stumbled onto her page. I love her style a whole lot. Her stuff is always magical and has a certain pastel luminosity.
I'm not as good an artist as her and am not really qualified to critique but nobody has critiqued my work though i would love it so here goes ....
Love the inverted bunny ears. Love the purple cloud. The foxes too... However i feel that the way this picture is lit, is a little haphazard. The objects in the painting all seem to be lit from different light sources.
Personally i also feel that there is too much black in this painting. And maybe if there is a clearer foreground, middle and background, there may be greater depth created.
Wow critiquing this piece has made me think how i can improve too. Cool~!!
